Buoyancy and Teenagers

Have you ever had your room check when you’re a teenager? If not you are one of the lucky few who don’t have invasive parents. When I was a teenager my room used to get checked every week by my parents.

My parents are strict but they mean well. Just a few days back I remembered how I used to react to their “invasions”. I used to try my best to push them out. Now you may be wondering, “why on earth would he remember that after nearly a decade of his life?” Well the answer to that lies in the script that I was writing a while back: Buoyancy and Archimedes Principle.

I was trying to find a relatable analogy to drive to whole concept of buoyancy. This analogy seemed like a good fit: If something tries to enter a container filled with water, the water tries its very best to push it out i.e. make it float. This very similar to what I would do as a teenager if my parents were to check my room at random.

It’s funny how relatable this whole scenario is. In a particular sense all us are like water in that way just like Bruce Lee said it a long time ago. What do you think? Do you think this a good analogy?
